“Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.” -Proverbs 22:6
For the 3rd year in a row I have spent a few hours visiting with and photographing the stunning Ford family. I walk away from their portrait sessions feeling like I’m in the presence of models. All 4 are ridiculously beautiful and they know how to work the camera. But what I love most about each portrait is the connection within the frame.
Obviously it can be a bit tricky to get the exalted everyone-looking-smiling-and-showing-their-best-side-photo with young kids, but this family makes me covet the stolen moments. So many side eyes, smirks, giggles and stolen moments are captured within their sessions. The joy this family takes in one another is breathtaking and I am so honored they allow me to preserve their legacy.
From snuggles with mom to playing in the leaves with dad (last year), climbing trees and reenacting Beauty and the Beast with your baby sister, this family spends our time together engaged with one another more than my camera and I love it!
By the time I leave I have climbed halfway into a spruce to get tree-climbing pictures, played a few rounds of hide and seek, and deflected a bit of football banter. But mostly, I’ve spent time catching up and doing life with friends.
Thank you, Fords, for inviting me into your home once again! You give me serious #familygoals AND #familyphotogoals.
