What’s the point of a 2-story studio with windows overlooking if you don’t host a Mardi Gras photoshoot for your senior model team?

It’s a Mardi Pardi!!!!

My birthday is the day after Valentines Day. Do you know what happens when your birthday is that close to a holiday? Somehow they end up combined and every cake, party, celebration and more you have for your entire life is heart themed.

Except once.

One time my mom threw a Mardi Gras birthday party for me. I think it was my 10th birthday!

At the time I had no idea what Mardi Gras was but we decorated masks, had relay races and there was a plastic baby in my cupcake.

Since then I decided that I may not be a fan of Valentine’s Day but I LOVED Mardi Gras. So this year I put together my own little Bourbon Street for a with a few of my seniors.

Harry Styles or Mardi Gras?

Okay- I’ll admit, this set makes me think a little of an old tile bathroom. But if I find a shiny golden tablecloth at Dollar Tree you know I’m going to find a way to shoot with it!!! If Henry’s Louisiana Grill doesn’t remodel their bathrooms with gold tile and metallic purple paint they are really missing an opportunity.

Let the Good Times Roll

The great thing about shooting in my studio is the space to set up more than one backdrop. I typically stop at 2 but since we were utilizing the windows on the second floor I could finagle a spot for this purple paper backdrop. If you love the simplicity of a solid background … stay tuned- I have something VERY fun up my sleeve.
