Callie + Matt Engagement Session

It’s still hard for me to reconcile this gorgeous, grown up woman with the cute, smiley teenager I remember. But seeing her as an adult spending the evening with the love of her life for their engagement session was absolutely joy-filled and I am so thankful for the opportunity to preserve this time in their lives.

I moved to Rome 8 years ago and Callie and her family were some of the first people I met. My husband coached both Callie and her sister in tennis so I spent many afternoons wrangling my own kids with the help of her mom and grandmother while watching them play.

Callie met Matt through mutual friends and it didn’t take him long to realize that he should move across 2 states to be closer to her. And then he went and planned the most magical engagement for her complete with both their families at her favorite place: DISNEY! As a girl-mom I cannot imagine a better feeling than knowing a man cherishes my daughter enough to make her dreams come true. (Too punny??? Maybe. But that is exactly what Matt is doing!)

While planning her engagement Callie told me she loved color but didn’t want a “farm” look. So, of course, I took her to one of my FAVORITE places for a more industrial engagement session. But we couldn’t resist some gorgeous greenery and sunset glow!

Matt told Callie and I he has never had professional portraits done but clearly he is a natural because he nailed every shot. Don’t you think? These 2 can absolutely claim “Model Status”.
