This Model High School senior session is a perfect example of why a style consult is an integral part of my senior experience. And yes- I know your next questions is: What is the Style Consult?
The Style Consult is a video call that takes place 2-3 weeks before your senior session. We finalize your outfits, discuss locations and set the timeline for your session. We also discuss any props or people you may want to incorporate.
One of the components of the video call is viewing your outfits to ensure the locations we have planned will complement your wardrobe. While many elements are considered when planning the locations one that I constantly return to is Color Theory and how to utilize it in your session to make you look your very best.
I have been so excited to share this Lindale Mill senior session with you. Madison was very intentional while planning her outfits to ensure the styles varied and also showed off her spunky personality. (Anyone that knows her is not at all surprised by Madison’s attention to detail!) It is also a great example of how I use Color Theory during sessions.
This bright green dress was perfect for a classic, southern style. It pops beautifully against Madison’s tan and the muted tones of the Lindale Mill. I wanted to maintain a classic style with these images and using complementary colors was key. This green with the muted red brick is a perfect example of complementary colors working in harmony.
Madison’s second outfit was a fun and flirty style. Her pale pink mini-dress and Golden Goose tennis shoes had a vintage twist that fit the aesthetic of Lindale Mill so well. Madison’s vibrant personality shined during this set!
Since we are talking color theory, an analogous color harmony is my very favorite which explains why the top floor of the Lindale Mill is my favorite. This style was more bold than Madison’s first two and gave major Carrie Underwood, Denim and Rhinestone vibes. Her outfit blended seamlessly with the colors already represented at the Lindale Mill and the flow of colors along with the soft light created a stunning gallery.
