Ooooohhh- this one was FUN! I met Mary when I commissioned a painting for my husband to represent a trip we took to Maine. (FYI- she knocked it out of the park!!!) Later, Mary reached out about an artist brand photography session to use for her website and social media so we made a plan to meet for breakfast and discuss options. 3 hours later we had talked a little about her session and a LOT about our lives. She is a gem of a person and I have loved watching her creativity flourish and flow as she has dived deeper into finding her style.

The river outside Mary’s home is a main inspiration for her work… so it’s only fitting that the day of her session a HUGE storm blew up and we were not able to use the natural sunlight that hits her studio or the river. But we DID get to dive into her process and photograph it from start to finish.

I have a spot in my own home ready to hang one of her river photos as soon as I decide on the perfect one. I already have some of her abstracts and an ornament she named after me. (Okay- maybe she didn’t but it IS called “the Kate” so in fact I had to have it!!!)
