There’s something about going home that fills you with nostalgia. Admittedly, it’s rare that I venture into town when I visit my parents. Until recently they lived on the outskirts of town and I would just bounce between their home and my grandparents. Because of this, I’m repeatedly surprised by the growth and rejuvenation of Downtown Tifton when I do make it to Main Street.
During my last visit I had the chance to photograph 3 precious families and we used a cute little park in the center of Downtown Tifton for 2 of those families. I have to say whoever developed the park must have a photographer’s eye because the entire space lends itself to photography.
This family was so much fun to hang out with. I’ve known Lauren {that gorgeous mom with perfect hair} since high school— maybe before! We have seen each other occasionally over the last few years but this was my first chance really hanging out with her boys. They kept me laughing AND on my toes!
From developing their own poses to ganging up with silly faces I laughed the entire time. But I did get them back once or twice by making mom and dad kiss. If you EVER want to make boys uncomfortable JUST ask mom and dad for a little PDA. They can’t handle it. But the results are so worth it!
Lauren and Eddie, your family is so full of personality and I loved the opportunity to hang out with your boys and memorialize those mischievous grins and the sweet love they have for their mama. Keeping the attention of 2nd and 4th grade boys for family portraits may not be the EASIEST thing you did last week- but it was definitely worth it.
