Oh these two. There are not words to explain how well Hollie and Bailey compliment one another. But I’m pretty sure the portraits from their sunset engagement session in downtown Rome illustrate exactly how perfect they are together.
Bailey first reached out to me last fall as he was in the early stages of planning his proposal. He had an amazing evening planned at Berry College under the guise of his own graduation celebration. We spent an afternoon drinking smoothies and hashing out details to photograph the proposal, backup plans, and troubleshooting. Of course, neither of us could have dreamed up what was coming in March!
Bailey had to make some adjustments to his plans and still managed to pull off a beautiful proposal and engagement celebration in their hometown. I was thrilled for the opportunity to FINALLY celebrate Hollie and Bailey last week during their engagement session!
We planned to hold their engagement session at Berry but, thank you COVID, we had to adjust plans once again. We moved their sunset engagement session to Downtown Rome and I am not sad about it. As we were planning Hollie voiced those magical words that are music to any photographer’s ears, “I completely trust your vision”.
And y’all – I may drag you to some unusual spots and stick you in some brambly grass – but it is always with the goal of giving you the most incredible portraits in the end!!!
Hollie says, “The best part of the wedding planning process so far has been sharing it with my friends and family. They get just as excited as I do when I find a good deal on a vendor or a cute idea on Pinterest. It’s been fun sharing this time in my life with those most important to me, and knowing that they’re there to support me throughout the entire process!”
Bailey says, “Hollie and I have been planning our future together since the very beginning. Since I was moving off to school when we started dating and we were going to be doing long distance for 2 years, we both knew that if we started dating, we were in it for the long run and in it through all the difficulties that distance would bring us. I wouldn’t say there was a specific day or time that I knew she was the one. I went into the relationship hoping she would be the one and here we are almost 5 years later.”Hollie says, “I’m most looking forward to finally being Bailey’s wife! We have been together since I was 15 so we have truly grown up together. I am excited to enter into this next stage of life surrounded by all of our favorite people who have been with us since the beginning!”Bailey says, “Ephesians 5: 22-33. Marriage is such a beautiful reflection of Christ and His church and I am so excited that Hollie is the one that I get to marry and carry these verses out with.Hollie says, “My favorite thing about Bailey is his passion. When he believes in something he is all in, whether it is in school, in his faith, or even in his obsession with golf 😉 But is also means that he is all in in the way he loves me and in the way he plans for our future.”Bailey says, “Watching Hollie walk down the aisle is going to be the best part of our wedding day by far.”
Hollie and Bailey- your relationship (and engagement session) is one of those that dreams are made of!!!! I am so excited to play a small part in the best decision of your lives!!!
